Green apple, fragrant citrus blossom, lime zest and sherbet with underlying hints of pink grapefruit and bath salts. The palate is underpinned by a refreshing drive of natural acidity that is in lovely balance with generous fruit flavours of citrus curd, fresh lemon and lime zest and a slatey, textured finish that is typical of Heggies vineyard. Restrained in its youth this wine will continue to build richness and texture with long term cellaring.
Subtle and delicate aromas of white flowers, cumquat, hints of nutmeg and cardamom. These aromas are more developed with age bringing more complexity and richness over moving to beeswax, marmalade, and candied citrus zest. Perfect to drink now and will cellar for five years.
Complex aromas of citrus curd, stone fruit and fresh figs with notes of struck flint, brioche and a hint of spicy French oak. The palate is layered and complex. Flavours of fresh peach compote, citrus zest and roasted hazelnuts are underpinned by a fine creamy texture and flinty bottle complexity. The taut Heggies minerality leads the wine to an elegant, lingering finish. Already bottled aged and ready to enjoy on release, this wine will continue to gain more depth and complexity with further cellaring.
